Privacy policy

Frenz Browser is a desktop application sold by Frenz LLC (Iowa, United States). This policy explains what we collect, what we don't, and how to reach us.

What we collect

• Account data: email, optional name and country (only what you provide at signup).
• Billing data: processed by Stripe (international) or Paystack (Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa). We see the last 4 digits of your card and the country — never the full card.
• Device binding: a hashed identifier (MAC + machine GUID + Windows install ID, all SHA-256) so we can enforce per-tier device limits. The hash is one-way and not personally identifying on its own.
• License heartbeats: every 24 hours while the app is running we send your account ID, the device hash, your profile count, and how many browsers are currently open. This is what lets the offline-grace period work.
• Telemetry (opt-in only): if you enable "Help us improve Frenz Browser" in Settings, we receive crash stack traces (with usernames redacted from paths), launch times, app version, OS version, and your tier.

What we never collect

• Profile contents — cookies, fingerprint values, browsing history.
• Proxies — host, port, credentials.
• Site contents — anything happening inside your browser profiles.
• Master password — it is used locally to derive an encryption key (Argon2id → AES-256-GCM). The key never leaves your machine. We cannot recover your vault if you forget it.

How we use it

• To provision your subscription and enforce tier limits.
• To send transactional emails: receipts, payment failures, license changes, password reset, new-device alerts.
• To improve the product (telemetry only, opt-in).
• We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything other than running Frenz Browser.

Where it lives

• Account and billing data: PostgreSQL on a Hetzner CX43 in Helsinki, Finland.
• Profile vaults: on your machine only, at %APPDATA%\\FrenzBrowser\\. Encrypted at rest with Argon2id-derived AES-256-GCM.
• Backups: nightly encrypted dumps, retained 14 days locally and (optionally) off-site to Backblaze B2.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Email support@frenzhub.online to:

• Export everything we have on you (within 30 days)
• Delete your account and all associated server-side data
• Correct anything inaccurate

Cookies on this site

The frenzbrowser.frenzhub.online marketing site sets no tracking cookies and runs no third-party analytics. Sign-in to the desktop app does not set browser cookies — auth lives in the app's encrypted local storage.
